Ji-man Choi is a professional baseball player from South Korea who plays for the Tampa Bay Rays baseball team of the Major League Baseball(MLB). Choi positions as a designated hitter, a first baseman, and an outfielder depending on the game.
At the beginning of his baseball career, Choi signed a minor league contract with the Baltimore Orioles in November 2015. He was later on drafted by the Los Angeles Anaheim team. Choi was made to be part of the Los Angeles Angels’ Opening Day roster upon which he made his MLB debut on April 5, 2016, for the Los Angeles Angeles.
Choi also had the opportunity to play for the New York Yankees team. The Yankees signed him to a minor league contract plus a non-roster invitation to spring training. He was promoted to the major leagues on July 4, 2017.
