Born December 31, 1981, Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, United States. Joseph F. Judge is an American football coach who currently serves as the head coach of the National Football League’s New York Giants.
Judge previously worked as an assistant coach with the New England Patriots from 2012 to 2019. During Judge’s tenure, the Patriots appeared in four Super Bowls, winning three of them.
Joseph Judge, Judge’s father, played football for Temple and the Hamilton Tiger-Cats of the Canadian Football League. Amber Judge, Judge’s wife, was an All-SEC soccer player at Mississippi State, and the couple has four children.
In 2005, he returned to Mississippi State University as a graduate assistant for the Bulldogs, his alma mater. In 2008, he worked as a special teams assistant for Alabama and subsequently as the linebackers coach for the Birmingham–Southern Panthers.
He joined the New England Patriots as a special teams assistant in 2012 and stayed with the team until 2014.
Following the Patriots’ victory in Super Bowl XLIX, Judge was promoted to special teams coordinator after Scott O’Brien retired. Judge was a member of the Patriots’ coaching staff that won Super Bowl LI on February 5, 2017. The Patriots won by a score of 34–28 in overtime against the Atlanta Falcons.
