Jordan Spieth, full name Jordan Alexander Spieth, is a member of the PGA Tour and a previous leader in the Official World Golf Ranking. He made the decision to go pro in 2012 midway through his sophomore year at the University of Texas after failing to advance to the Final Stage of PGA Tour qualifying school.
During the 2013 golf season, he participated in his first competition. In April of that year, he participated in his first Masters, sharing the lead with Bubba Watson after 54 holes. After winning the PGA Championship, he was selected for the 2014 Ryder Cup team, making him the nation’s youngest participant in the game since Horton Smith did it in 1929. To begin the year, Jordan missed the cut at the Farmers Insurance Open.
He earned his 13th PGA Tour triumph when he won the RBC Heritage in April 2022 at the Harbour Town Golf Links in Hilton Head Island, South Carolina. Harold Varner III, the leader after the third round, was three strokes ahead of Spieth when the day began, but after shooting a fourth-round 66, Spieth quickly ascended to the top of the leaderboard.
