Kevin James Kiermaier was born on April 22, 1990, in Fort Wayne, Indiana, and currently plays for the Tampa Bay Rays of Major League Baseball as their center fielder (MLB).
He was a member of high school and college championship-winning teams. His high school in Indiana won the state championship, and his team at Parkland College won the NJCAA national championship, earning him two NJCAA All-American honors.
As a result of his outstanding defensive abilities in the outfield as well as his ability to routinely snatch home runs, Kiermaier has become an increasingly sought-after prospect.
Because of this, he has won three Rawlings Gold Glove Awards for center fielders: 2015, 2016, and 2019.
