Khalil was raised by his parents as his mother high school sweethearts Yolanda, a teacher, and Sandy Mack Sr., a program specialist, in Fort Pierce, Florida.

He began his high school education at the  Fort Pierce Westwood High School in Fort Pierce where he played as a quarterback and was nicknamed “Bombshell Man.”

On September 19, 2021, Mack recorded his first sack of the season on Joe Burrow, in a 20–17 victory over the Cincinnati Bengals.
