Lou Anarumo is an American football coach who was born on August 18, 1966, in Staten Island, New York, United States of America. Lou is currently the defensive coordinator for the Cincinnati Bengals football team of the National Football League(NFL).
He attended Wagner College, a private liberal arts college in Staten Island, New York City. He holds a degree in special education from the college. In college, he was made the junior Head coach at Susan E. Wagner High School in Staten Island, New York.
Lou began his professional coaching career with the Wagner Seahawks football team in 1989 as their running backs coach. In 1990, Lou was hired to be the graduate assistant coach and assistant defensive backs coach for the Syracuse Orange football team at Syracuse University.
From 1992 through 2018, Lou served as a coach to various football teams in the United States. He has been a defensive coordinator and defensive backs coach, an assistant head coach, defensive backs and special teams coach and as an Interim defensive coordinator.
In February 2019, Lou was hired by the Cincinnati Bengals football team as their Defensive Coordinator. He’s been with them till now.
Lou Anarumo is married to Fran Anarumo with whom he has three children, Madison Anarumo, Louis Anarumo and Christopher Anarumo.
