Lucas Lester Luetge is an American professional baseball pitcher for the New York + of Major League Baseball(MLB). He previously played in MLB for the Seattle Mariners. He was born March 24, 1987, at Brenham, Texas, the United States of America to couple Rocky Luetge and his wife Melissa Luetge.
Luetge signed a minor league contract with the New York Yankees for the 2021 season upon which he received a nonroster invitation to spring training. After a strong spring training in which he accrued 18 strikeouts in 10.1 innings pitched, Luetge was selected to the Yankees’ Opening Day roster on March 31.
He signed a minor league contract with the New York Yankees for the 2021 season and he has been there since.
He had his MLB debut on April 7, 2012, for the Seattle Mariners. Luetge attended Bellville High School in Bellville, Texas and had his university education at Rice University, where he played college baseball for the Rice Owls baseball team
