Meet Trina Braxton Traci Braxton’s Sister
Trina Evette Braxton-Scales is a reality television personality and singer from the United States. Trina had her big break in music in 1992 when she joined the R&B group The Braxtons, which she formed with her sisters.
Braxton Family Values, a reality show on We TV, reunited Braxton with her sisters in 2011.
The very first episode of the show was WE tv’s most popular reality show, and after the third episode, the network ordered a 13-episode second season.
In March of 2012, Trina dropped her first solo single, “Party or Go Home.” Braxton, along with Quad Webb-Lunceford, Syleena Johnson, and Rashan Ali, has co-hosted the TV One and TEGNA networks’ “Sister Circle” chat program from 12:00 p.m. to 1 p.m. since September 2018.
She was born in Maryland’s Severn. Trina’s father was a Methodist preacher. Her Dad Michael Conrad Braxton Sr. worked for a power business, and her mother, Evelyn Jackson was a former opera singer and cosmetologist as well as a pastor.
Braxton has four sisters: Toni, Towanda, Traci, and Tamar, as well as an older brother named Michael, Jr.
In 1989, Arista Records signed Toni, Traci, Towanda, Trina, and Tamar Braxton to their first album deal. “Good Life,” their debut single, was released in 1990. As a fivesome, it would be their sole single.
She married Gabriel “Gabe” Solis, a software developer, in 2003. After eleven years of marriage, the couple divorced in 2015. At the age of 43, Solis passed away from cancer on December 20, 2018.
