Mekapati Goutham Reddy was an Indian businessman and politician, who was the Minister for Industries, Commerce, and Information Technology in the Government of Andhra Pradesh. Goutham was born November 2, 1971, in Nellore, India. Unfortunately, he died February 21, 2022, in Hyderabad, India of a heart attack.
Goutham was rushed to Apollo Hospital in Hyderabad, India after he collapsed at his home in the early hours of Monday, 21st February 2022.
Before his death, he served as the minister of industries, Commerce and information from 16th May 2014 to 21st February 2022. He was also a member of the legislative assembly from 8th June 2019 to 21st February 2022.
He was a member of the YSR Congress Party in India. He holds a masters degree in science from the University of Manchester.
His parents are Mekapati Rajamohan Reddy and Mani Manjari. His father is a former member of Parliament of Nellore Lok Sabha constituency. He had two brothers, Prithvi Kumar Reddy and Vikram Reddy who are all based in India. He married Srikeerthi and had a son and a daughter.
