Peng Liyuan, a Chinese soprano and modern folk singer who was born on November 20, 1962, is the spouse of Xi Jinping, the People’s Republic of China’s President and current General Secretary of the Chinese Communist Party.
Peng became well-known as a singer as a result of her frequent appearances on the popular Chinese television program CCTV New Year’s Gala, which is broadcast throughout the Chinese New Year.
