Coolio was a devoted father who went to great lengths to ensure the safety of his children. He and his former wife, Josefa Salinas, had joint custody of all four of their children.

He has said very little about his wife and children, although in an interview with PEOPLE magazine in 2008, he discussed at length the guidelines he had established for his children, particularly his daughters. He has said very little about his family.
How Many Children Does Coolio Have?
According to several accounts, Coolio had anywhere from six to ten children. It is alleged that the rapper has a large number of children with a variety of other women.
During the time that he was married to his ex-wife, Coolio welcomed four children into the world. Artisha, Brandi, and Jackie were the names he gave to his three daughters, and Artis was the name he gave to his son.
Coolio’s children are Grtis Ivey, Brandi Ivey, Milan Ivey, Darius Ivey, Zhaneand Ivey, Jackie Ivey, Kate Ivey, Shayne Ivey, Artisha Ivey, and Artis Ivey III. Both Shayne and Kate are identical twins.
In a previous interview, he stated that because he is the one who “pays the bills,” he gets to “set the rules” for his children. And should somebody “mess” with his children, he was even prepared to spend the remainder of his life incarcerated in a maximum security facility.
The rapper cautioned young men not to have any expectations of his daughters and was fiercely protective of them.
