Robert Redford is an American actor, director and producer. He is the recipient of various accolades, including an Academy Award from four nominations, a British Academy Film Award, two Golden Globe Awards, the Cecil B. DeMille Award, and the Presidential Medal of Freedom. In 2014, Time named him one of the 100 most influential people in the world.

In “Breakdown,” one of the final episodes of the syndicated adventure series Rescue 8, which starred Jim Davis and Lang Jeffries, Redford played Danny Tilford, a psychologically ill young man stuck in the wreckage of his family garage.
Best Supporting Actor nod: Redford was nominated for The Voice of Charlie Pont (ABC, 1962). Breaking Point, an ABC medical drama about psychiatry, was one of his final broadcast performances till 2019.
