Ross Stripling, real name Thomas Ross Stripling is a professional baseball player who plays as a pitcher for the Toronto Blue Jays baseball team of the Major League Baseball(MLB). Born November 23, 1989, to parents Hayes and Tammy Stripling, Ross began his amateur career at Carroll High School in Southlake, Texas.
Ross continued to college after high school to further his education and earn a degree at Texas A&M University. He played college baseball and also earned a bachelor’s degree in finance which he currently uses to work in stock trading which he does regularly even during baseball season.
Ross was drafted by the Colorado Rockies baseball team in 2011 during the 2011 MLB draft but there was no signing. Instead, he signed with the Los Angeles Dodgers in 2012 after they selected him in the fifth round of the 2012 MLB draft. He was then promoted to Double-A Chattanooga Lookouts in May 2013 and was chosen to play the mid-season Southern League All-Star Game.
For the 2016 baseball season, Ross made it to the Dodgers opening day roster as the fifth starter. He also made his MLB debut on April 8, 2016, for the Los Angeles Dodgers. In August 2020, the Dodgers traded him to the Toronto Blue Jays.
