Ryan Christian Yarbrough, known in baseball as only Ryan Yarbrough is an American professional baseball plays who positions as a pitcher for the Tampa Bay Rays baseball team of the Major League Baseball(MLB).
Ryan started his amateur career not in high school but rather in college. He attended All Saints’ Academy in Winter Haven, Florida in the USA. He then had his college education and career at Santa Fe College in Florida in 2011. He later transferred to Old Dominion University in Virginia where he pitched for the University’s baseball team, the Old Dominion Monarchs in 2013 and 2014.
During the 20th round of the 2013 MLB draft, the Milwaukee Brewers baseball team drafted Ryan but there was no signing.
The following year, the Seattle Mariners selected Yarbrough in the fourth round of the 2014 Major League Baseball draft. He began playing for them and around that same period, he made his professional debut with the Pulaski Mariners.
Ryan was traded in January 2017 by the Mariners to the Tampa Bay Rays team. He managed to make the Rays’ Opening Day roster in 2018 and has been pitching for them to date.
