His career has taken off since then, with three victories in 2022 in the Waste Management Phoenix Open, Arnold Palmer Invitational, and WGC-Dell Technologies Matchplay. As a result, he rose to the top of the world rankings.
Scheffler was defeated by Sam Burns in a playoff at the Charles Schwab Challenge on May 29, 2022.
Burns won the match after making a birdie putt from 38 feet out. At the United States Open, he tied for second place, finishing one stroke behind the champion, Matt Fitzpatrick.

According to reports, Scheffler and his wife Meredith have been together for nearly eight years, having dated since high school.
Scheffler enrolled at the University of Texas, whilst Scudder enrolled at the rival University of Texas A&M. but still had time to visit each other.
Scudder did a short internship in Zambia while she was in college. Even though they lived far apart, the couple stayed together.
Scheffler and his wife have no children as they have chosen not to start a family at this time.
