For the first seven months of U.S. President Donald Trump’s administration, Stephen Kevin Bannon, a former investment banker, media executive, and political strategist, served as the White House’s chief strategist.
Bannon served seven years as an officer in the US Navy during the late 1970s and the beginning of the 1980s. After leaving the military, he worked for Goldman Sachs for two years as an investment banker. In 1993, he assumed temporary control of the Biosphere 2 research initiative. He worked as an executive producer in Hollywood between 1991 and 2016, producing 18 films.
In connection with the We Build the Wall campaign, Bannon and three other individuals were detained in August 2020 and charged with money laundering and conspiracy to commit mail fraud. The defendants allegedly boosted their personal riches while claiming that all donations would go toward building a wall. Prior to his trial, Bannon pleaded not guilty and was granted a pardon by Trump.
In November 2020, Bannon called for the deaths of Anthony Fauci, the government’s infectious disease expert, and FBI Director Christopher Wray. As a result, his Twitter account was permanently suspended.
