John Tyler Zuber (born June 16, 1995) is a Major League Baseball pitcher who currently pitches for the Kansas City Royals (MLB). Tyler was born in the United States on June 16, 1995, in White Hall, Arkansas. In 2022, he will be 27 years old.
In 2020, he made his MLB debut. Zuber attended White Hall High School in White Hall, Arkansas, then went on to Arkansas State University to play baseball. He played collegiate summer baseball with the Cape Cod Baseball League’s Brewster Whitecaps in 2016.
He was selected in the sixth round of the 2017 Major League Baseball draft by the Kansas City Royals. He was the highest-drafted player in the history of Arkansas State University.
Zuber began his professional career with the Burlington Royals and the Lexington Legends in Burlington, Vermont. In 2018, he pitched for Lexington and the Wilmington Blue Rocks, and in 2019, he will pitch for Wilmington and the Northwest League.
In 2020, Zuber made his MLB debut with the Kansas City Royals. In 23 appearances, he went 1-2 with a 4.09 ERA with 30 strikeouts in 22.0 innings thrown. The Royals invited Zuber to Spring Training for the 2020 season.
