Gregory Itzin, a star of NCIS and 24 has died at the age of 74, and his family is yet to formally notify the cause of his death to the public.
Executive producer and director Jon Cassar, who worked on FOX’s hit show 24, confirmed the news on Twitter.
On Greg Itzin’s passing, he wrote: “My friend Greg Itzin passed away today. One of the most talented actors I’ve ever worked with, but he was also a great person.
Family and friends have expressed their heartfelt condolences to the 24-strong family he leaves behind. Let your legacy be known and now go in peace, my friend.”
Many fans reacted to the tweet by praising the TV star, with one writing: “Masterful artist and an even finer human.
During the fourth season of 24, Gregory played Charles Logan, a corrupt politician who would go on to become President of the United States of America.
Gregory received two Emmy nominations for the role, and he was also nominated for a SAG Award for his work in the ensemble.
Aside from NCIS, Gregory appeared on The Mentalist, Mob City, and The Mentalist after 24. He also appeared in an episode of The Mentalist in early 2020.
Gregory began his acting career on television in the late 1970s, starring in a variety of shows, including Charlie’s Angels, Judging Amy, and Friends.
