Matt LaFleur was born on November 3, 1979, in Mount Pleasant, Michigan, United States. Matthew Patrick LaFleur is the head coach of the Green Bay Packers of the National Football League in the United States.

He has been the offensive coordinator for the Los Angeles Rams and the Tennessee Titans, as well as the quarterback coach for the Washington Redskins and Atlanta Falcons.

LaFleur’s coaching career began in 2003 as an offensive graduate assistant at his alma mater, Saginaw Valley State, during which time he also substitute taught in area high schools, specializing in math.

In 2004 and 2005, LaFleur assisted the offensive staff at Central Michigan University in Mount Pleasant. He was a quarterbacks and receivers coach for Northern Michigan University in Marquette in 2006. In 2007, LaFleur was the offensive coordinator for Ohio’s Ashland University.

The 2021 season for LaFleur began with a humiliating 38–3 loss to the New Orleans Saints. They went on to win their next six games, bringing the Packers’ record to 6–1 and a Thursday night matchup with the NFL’s last unbeaten club, the 7–0 Arizona Cardinals.

The Packers were forced to play on the road on a short week without their top three wide receivers after Davante Adams and Allen Lazard tested positive for COVID-19, and Marquez Valdes-Scantling has been out since Week 3 with a hamstring issue.

Despite the difficulties, the Packers won 24–21 thanks to a spectacular last-second interception of Cardinals quarterback Kyle Murray, and LaFleur became the winningest head coach in NFL history through his first 40 professional games.

What is Matt LaFleur’s salary?

Matt’s annual compensation ranges between $5 and $5.55 million. After being fired with a year left on his contract, the Packers allegedly owe former head coach Mike McCarthy $9 million for 2018. As a result, the NFL team will pay a head coach salary of about $14 million for the year.

Meanwhile, Matt LaFleur’s net worth is projected to be $7 million based on his entire career. This sum is sure to double in no time, thanks to his new compensation as the Packers’ head coach.
