Herschel Walker is a former American football running back, bobsledder, and mixed martial artist. He played college football for the University of Georgia.
Subsequent to moving on from high school as the valedictorian, Walker played running back and ran in the Olympic-style sports group for the University of Georgia, where he was a three-time All-American (football and track) and victor of the 1982 Heisman Trophy and Maxwell Award.
He is the primary NCAA player who played just three years to complete in the main 10 in hurrying yards, an imprint later tied by Jonathan Taylor.
During his rookie season in 1980, Walker set the NCAA green bean surging record (later broken by Jonathan Taylor) and completed third in Heisman casting a ballot.
Walker was the primary “genuine rookie” to turn into a first-group All-American.
He assumed a significant part in assisting Georgia with staying away from a loss that year and bringing home the public title with a triumph over Notre Dame in the 1981 Sugar Bowl.
