Aaron Michael Hicks was born in San Pedro, California on October 2, 1989. He is a Major League Baseball centre fielder for the New York Yankees in the United States (MLB). On April 1, 2013, he made his Major League Baseball debut with the Minnesota Twins.
Hicks grew up in Compton, California, where he was a star baseball player at Woodrow Wilson Classical High School. [1] He also attended the Major League Baseball Urban Youth Academy, which aims to promote baseball in urban areas.
Aaron, a switch hitter, was taken in the first round of the 2008 Major League Baseball draft by the Minnesota Twins out of Wilson Classical High School in Long Beach, California. Hicks was considered the top prospect in the Twins’ organization and awarded a 2008 Baseball America Rookie All-Star in his first professional season. He swung his bat.
On March 24, 2013, it was revealed that Hicks will be the Minnesota Twins’ starting centre fielder. Dave Winfield, who wore 32 for the Twins, inspired him to change his number. On August 1, he was assigned to AAA and did not return in 2013. The Twins traded Hicks to the New York Yankees for John Ryan Murphy on November 11, 2015.
