Brett Phillips, born Brett Maverick Phillips is an American professional baseball player who was born May 30, 1994, in Seminole, Florida, the United States of America to parents Jody Phillips-Foushee and Brett James Phillips. He positions as an outfielder for the Tampa Bay Rays baseball team of the Major League Baseball(MLB).
Brett graduated from high school in 2012 after which the Houston Astros baseball team selected him during the sixth round of the 2012 MLB draft. He made his professional debut in 2012 with the Gulf Coast Astros of the Rookie-level Gulf Coast League.
In July 2015, the Astros traded him to the Milwaukee Brewer baseball team. He was made the Brewers centre fielder after he was invited to their spring training in the 2016 baseball season.
Brett managed to earn a spot in Brewer’s 40-man roster after the 2016 season. During the 2017 season, he played minor league with the Colorado Springs Sky Sox of the Class AAA Pacific Coast League.
The Brewers traded Brett on July 27, 2018, to the Kansas City Royals team in exchange for a player. He was with the Royals for two years before they finally traded him to the Tampa Bay Rays baseball team in August 2020.
