1. John Elway
More than a decade and a half of success in the NFL. The Baltimore Colts drafted Elway first overall, but he declined to play for them. Elway led the Broncos to the playoffs ten times during his career, with five of those seasons ending in a trip to the Super Bowl. For his career, Elway threw 51,475 yards and 300 touchdowns in 234 starts.
2. Peyton Manning
QB Peyton Manning threw for 4,659 yards, 37 touchdowns, and 11 interceptions in 2012, leading the Broncos to a 13-3 record. Next year, he shattered NFL records for throwing yards and touchdowns in a single season, on his route to his record fifth MVP award and another Super Bowl trip, but Denver lost to the Seattle Seahawks in crushing fashion.
3. Jake Plummer
Denver made three trips to the playoffs under Plummer’s guidance, including a trip to the AFC Championship Game in his final year as head coach. It was a rough year for Plummers, but the Broncos finished 7-4 after 11 games. He had a 39-15 record, threw for 11,631 yards, threw 71 touchdowns, and threw 47 interceptions.
