1. Ben Roethlisberger
By a large margin, he has dominated every other Steelers quarterback statistically. He has more than twice the career throwing yards and more than 150 more touchdown passes than the next person on Pittsburgh’s all-time passing chart. Only a handful of quarterbacks in NFL history have accomplished what Roethlisberger has.
He has 13 seasons with at least 3,000 throwing yards, six seasons with at least 4,000 passing yards, and one season with at least 5,129 passing yards. Additionally, he has guided the Steelers to three AFC championships and two Super Bowls. He has a lifetime record of 144-71-1 as a starter.
2. Terry Bradshaw
The Steelers’ offense exploded in the 1970s under Bradshaw at quarterback. Five black-and-gold bulldozers drove through defenders, allowing running backs Franco Harris and Rocky Bleier to clear swaths of ground. In order to limit the Steelers’ rushing attack, any team stupid enough to load the box against Bradshaw was penalized. The fate of a game could be changed with just one pass, and opponents rarely had a chance of winning when he was on the verge of a hot streak.
3. Neil O’Donnell
From 1991 through 1995, Neil O’Donnell was a member of the Pittsburgh Steelers. When O’Donnell and the Steelers were led by Cowher, they went 11-5 in 1992, reached the AFC championship game in 1994, and made it to the Super Bowl the following year. 4. Bobby Layne
