After allegedly being found in possession of dozens of oxycodone tablets during a Florida traffic stop, Kodak Black was taken into custody on Friday.

According to sources, the 25-year-old “Codeine Dreaming” rapper was stopped by authorities in Fort Lauderdale for allegedly having an unlawful window tint on his Dodge Durango.

When they reportedly approached his truck, the police could smell marijuana. 31 oxycodone tablets and $74,960 in cash were discovered during a search of the car, the source reported.

According to the article, Black was arrested on unnamed charges and brought to Broward County jail despite having an expired license and plates on his car.

Black, who was Dieuson Octave at birth before changing his name legally to Bill Kahan Kapri, had a long history of legal issues, including a case of auto theft when he was just 16 years old.

Throughout his brief career, the rapper from Pompano Beach has been in and out of jail and prison on account of numerous offences.

He was detained for possessing guns in 2019 and given a four-year prison term. He completed around half of his sentence before previous President Donald Trump commuted it before he left office.

The recording artist for Atlantic Records avoided additional prison time last year by accepting a plea bargain after being accused of raping a youngster in 2016.

Black has sold more than 30 million songs since 2014. She is most known for her hits “No Flockin'” and “Roll in Peace.”
