Today, Prince Harry and Meghan Markle are participating alongside the rest of the extended royal family in bidding farewell to Queen Elizabeth.
This morning in Westminster Abbey, a state funeral for the deceased monarch is taking place, and the Sussex family is in attendance.
They entered the church in the same procession as Princess Charlotte and Prince George, which we witnessed.
When the Queen’s health began to deteriorate, Prince Harry and Meghan Markle were already in Europe for a series of appearances tied to charitable causes.
Even though the Duke and Duchess of Sussex currently make their permanent home in California with their children Archie and Lilibet, they have remained in the United Kingdom throughout this period of mourning and have participated in several public events alongside the other members of the royal family.
Notably, on Saturday, Prince Harry took part in a vigil by standing watch alongside the Queen’s coffin with his eight cousins, who are Elizabeth II’s grandchildren. This was a significant event.
Additionally, William and Kate joined Harry and Meghan in paying their respects to the Queen at a floral memorial that was held in Windsor.
He also spoke about his father, the newly named King Charles III in the statement, by saying: “As it comes to first meetings, we now honour my father in his new role as King Charles III.”
