He was born to parents who are also in the movie industry. His father, Alan Radcliffe is an actor while his mother, Marcia Radcliffe is a movie director. Daniel enrolled in three independent schools for boys throughout his schooling period. The three schools are the Redcliffe Gardens School, Sussex House School and the City of London School.
Daniel started acting in the Harry Potter series whiles he was still a student. Upon the release of the series, he began to have a hard time in school as the other students became mean towards him, which according to Daniel was an act of jealousy since he was becoming a star.
