Alexander Grigoryevich Lukashenko (born August 31, 1954) is a Belarusian politician who has served as the country’s president since the office was founded on July 20, 1994.

Lukashenko was raised in the Byelorussian Soviet Socialist Republic’s Vitebsk Oblast’s Kopys settlement.
Lukashenko wedded his high school love, Galina Zhelnerovich, in 1975.

Viktor, his oldest child, was born later that same year. Dmitry, their youngest child, was born in 1980. Galina lives in a house in the village of Shklow on her own.
