According to her distraught father, Annabell Guadalupe Rodriguez was identified as one of the victims slain in the mass shooting that took place at an elementary school in the state of Texas.
At least 19 students and two teachers were murdered when the suspected shooter, 18-year-old Salvador Ramos, opened fire on Tuesday at Robb Elementary School in Uvalde, a tiny, working-class town on the border with Mexico. Ramos was arrested and charged with capital murder.
According to information released by the Texas Department of Public Safety on Wednesday, all of the victims were found dead inside a single classroom.
Both Annabell Guadalupe Rodriguez, who was in the third grade, and her cousin, whose identity has not been revealed at this time, were shot and killed inside the classroom where they were both enrolled.
The search for Annabell continued far into the evening on Tuesday for her father, who had been hunting for her all day. During an interview with KHOU11, he expressed his regret at the fact that no one knew where she was.
During that time, he expressed his frustration by stating,
“They’re not letting us in at the hospital right now so we don’t know where to go,”
