Authorities have named a person of interest in the tragic mass shooting that took place at a Fourth of July parade outside of Chicago on Monday.
The individual has been identified by authorities as 22-year-old Robert “Bobby” E. Crimo III, who they say is armed and dangerous. According to authorities, he is reported to be operating a 2010 silver Honda Fit with the Illinois license plate DM80653.
Crimo seems to have a small cult following as a rapper because at least two of his songs have received more than one million Spotify listens. Crimo dreamt about a mass shooting and being killed in a shootout with cops in one of his 2021 songs.
He posed with weapons in a school classroom for the song’s accompanying music video.
It was advised that anyone with information concerning his whereabouts dial 1-800-CALL-FBI. Minutes after the march started in the affluent enclave of Highland Park, the gunman opened fire from atop a roof while brandishing a “high-powered weapon,” leaving six people dead and 24 more hurt.
Who Are Bobby Crimo’s Parents?
The home of Crimo’s family in Highwood, which is approximately a mile from the location of the shooting, was visited by FBI investigators on Monday night, according to WGN-TV.
According to the report, the agents were at the house for around an hour. Agents of the FBI may be seen leaving the suspect’s home and driveway.
Neighbors claim that Robert Crimo III, his father, and his uncle reside there. The identities of Crimo’s parents have not yet been publicized but it is reported that in 2019, Crimo’s father sought office as mayor of Highland Park.
