Byron Pringle was born on November 17, 1993. He is a wide receiver in American football for the National Football League’s Kansas City Chiefs (NFL). Pringle began his career at Butler Community College before moving to Kansas State to complete his academic career. After going undrafted in the 2018 NFL Draft, he signed with the Chiefs.
Pringle signed as an undrafted free agent with the Kansas City Chiefs in 2018. He was placed on injured reserve on September 1, 2018 following an injury suffered during the Chiefs’ final preseason game of the 2018 season.
Pringle was waived on September 10, 2019 and re-signed to the practice squad after making the Chiefs’ initial 53-man roster. On September 14, 2019, he was promoted to the Chiefs’ active roster.
His first significant breakout game was Sunday Night Football against the Indianapolis Colts in Week 5, where he finished with 103 receiving yards and a score as the Chiefs fell 13–19. Pringle won Super Bowl LIV with the Kansas City Chiefs, 31–20 over the San Francisco 49ers.
Pringle scored his first career return touchdown in Week 7 against the Denver Broncos, returning a kickoff 102 yards in the 43–16 victory, earning him AFC Special Teams Player of the Week honors. On November 24, 2020, he was placed on an injured reserve following an ankle injury suffered in Week 11.
