A Virginia journalist was one of two individuals killed during a shooting early Saturday outside a café and bar, specialists said.
CNN Sierra Jenkins, 25, who covered training and schools for The Virginian-Pilot of Norfolk, died at Sentara Norfolk General Hospital after the shooting outside Chicho’s Pizza Backstage, as per authorities.
Norfolk police criminal investigators were exploring the shooting, which likewise brought about wounds to three others.
Jenkins was trapped in the crossfire as she was leaving the bar, eatery chief Rory Schindel told the paper.
No arrests had been declared starting on Saturday evening. Jenkins experienced childhood in Norfolk and moved on from Georgia State University.
She functioned as an assistant at Atlanta Magazine and CNN prior to joining The Pilot in December 2020.
