Estelle Harris (née Nussbaum; April 4, 1928 – April 2, 2022) was an American actress and comedienne who was most known for her exaggerated harsh, grating voice.
She was born in New York City and raised in California. Her most well-known part is that of Estelle Costanza on the television show, Seinfeld.
Some of her other credits include the voice of Mrs. Potato Head in the Toy Story franchise, Muriel in The Suite Life of Zack & Cody, and Mama Gunda in Tarzan II, among others.
In Manhattan, New York, on April 4, 1928, Estelle Nussbaum was born. She was the younger of two daughters of Isaac (“Ira”) and Anna Nussbaum, who were Polish Jewish immigrants who had a candy business.
