Estavan Florial is a Dominican-Haitian professional baseball outfielder for the New York Yankees of Major League Baseball (MLB).
He made his MLB debut in 2020. Florial holds dual-citizenship with Haiti due to his mother being born there.
Estevan was first drafted by the Yankees in 2014 as Haniel d’Oleo. Unfortunately, the contract was annulled after he was unable to submit a birth document and he re-signed with the Yankees in 2015 as Estevan Florial.
Estavan Florial made his Major League Baseball debut with the Yankees in 2020 and played in the first game of a doubleheader that same day against the New York Mets, where he got his first MLB hit.

Estevan Florial Scouting Report
Florial’s overall numbers show a potential five-tool player. Florial has plenty of raw power. Apparently, he produced an average exit velocity of 91.3 MPH at the Alternate Site last summer (that would be top-30 in MLB).
However, his approach at the plate is not great. Then there’s FanGraphs’ Eric Longenhagen, who is the low person on Florial’s bat.
Longenhagen points out that Florial’s long swing forces him to cheat on high velocity and makes him susceptible to whiffing against secondary offerings.
