Garrett Whitlock is a baseball player who serves as a pitcher in American baseball. He plays for the Boston Red Sox baseball team of the Major League Baseball (MLB)
Garrett was born June 11, 1996, in Snellville, Georgia in the United States of America. He had his amateur career at the Providence Christian Academy in Lilburn, Georgia where he had his high school education. After high school, Garrett gained admission to the University of Alabama where he played college baseball for the University’s baseball team, the UAB Blazers.
In 2016, Garrett played amateur baseball leagues with the Chatham Anglers of the Cape Cod Baseball League. When he completed college, he was picked by the New York Yankees team during the 18th round of the 2017 MLB draft. After being picked by the Yankees, he signed with them and made his professional debut that year with the Gulf Coast League Yankees.
In 2020, the Boston Red Sox selected him in the Rule 5 draft and the early parts of 2021, he was able to make it to the Red Sox’s Opening Day roster. He also made his MLB debut in April that year.
