Jacob Danner Paltrow is an actor, screenwriter, and film director from the United States. He is the younger brother of Gwyneth Paltrow and the son of Bruce Paltrow and Blythe Danner and comes from a family of actors.

Jake Paltrow Career

Paltrow’s most well-known work was directing episodes of NYPD Blue, including Andy Appleseed (2003), Brothers Under Arms (2000), and The Big Bang Theory (1999), following in his father’s footsteps as a television filmmaker.

With the film The Good Night, starring his sister Gwyneth Paltrow, he made his directorial debut in 2006. At the 2007 Sundance Film Festival, the film was released.

For the New York Times, Paltrow has made short videos about actors. Young Ones, a dystopian sci-fi Western that he wrote, directed, and produced, was released in 2014.

Jake Paltrow Private Life

Paltrow is the daughter of film director Bruce Paltrow and actress Blythe Danner and was born in Los Angeles, California.

Their ancestors are Polish, Belarusian, English (some via Barbados), and Pennsylvania Dutch (German). He recently celebrated his Bar Mitzvah.

He is Katherine Moennig’s first cousin and former US Congresswoman Gabby Giffords’ second cousin.

Paltrow met photographer and artist Taryn Simon in 1999 and married her in 2010. The couple has two children together.
