Ji-man Choi is a professional baseball player from South Korea who currently plays for the Tampa Bay Rays of Major League Baseball.
Choi can play designated hitter, first baseman, and outfield, among other positions. In 2016, he was a member of the Los Angeles Angels, the New York Yankees in 2017, and the Milwaukee Brewers in 2018.
Choi also played baseball for Korea’s U12 and U18 national teams.
Before the 2010 season, Choi signed with the Seattle Mariners. To begin his professional baseball career, he was assigned to their AZL affiliate.
Choi batted.378 in 39 games with the Arizona League Mariners, with 23 runs scored, 51 hits, 15 doubles, two triples, one home run, 23 RBIs, and 10 stolen bases,
Choi finished second in on-base percentage (.459) and slugging percentage among league batters (.541). Choi also appeared in 11 games for the California League’s High Desert Mavericks in Class A Advanced.
