Jim Hagedorn, real name James Lee Hagedorn was an American politician from the state of Minnesota. A Republican, he was the U.S. Representative for Minnesota’s 1st congressional district from 2019 until his death in February 2022. The district covers much of the southern third of the state and includes Rochester, Austin, and Mankato.
He was in office from January 3, 2019, to February 17, 2022. He was born August 4, 1962, in Blue Earth, Minnesota, U.S. Hagedorn Jennifer Caro Jennifer Carnahan, the former chair of the Republican Party of Minnesota. The couple lived in Blue Earth, Minnesota. Jim was diagnosed with stage 4 kidney cancer in 2019 and afterwards received immunotherapy to treat cancer. In December 2020, he had surgery to remove the cancerous kidney. In January 2022, he tested positive for COVID-19 and checked Into the Mayo clinic hospital in Rochester, Minnesota. Hagedorn died at home on February 17, 2022, at the age of 59; the official cause of death was kidney
