Jonathan Alexander Aranda is a Mexican professional baseball infielder who plays for the Tampa Bay Rays. He was born in Tijuana, Baja California, Mexico on May 23, 1998.

On July 2, 2015, Aranda signed as an international free agent with the Tampa Bay Rays. Aranda hit.257/.345/.366/.711 in his professional debut season with the Dominican Summer League Rays in 2016, with one home run and 17 RBI.



He hit.287/.345/.348/.693 with 15 RBI and 14 stolen bases between the GCL Rays and the Princeton Rays in 2017. He was named the GCL MVP for the Rays in 2017.

Aranda divided the 2018 season between the Princeton Tigers and the Hudson Valley Renegades, batting.269/.337/.391/.728 with one home run and 29 RBI.

Aranda spent the 2019 season in the GCL with the Bowling Green Hot Rods and the Charlotte Stone Crabs, batting.272/.359/.383/.742 with three home runs and 35 RBI.

Because the Minor League Baseball season was canceled due to the COVID-19 outbreak, he did not play in 2020.

Aranda split the 2021 season between the Bowling Green Falcons and the Montgomery Biscuits, batting.330/.418/.543/.962 with 14 home runs and 65 RBI.

He was voted the Most Valuable Player in Double-A South in 2021.
