Joy Behar is a comedian, television personality, actor, and writer from the United States. She is the only original panelist currently appearing on ABC’s daytime talk show The View, which she co-hosts.
Joy Behar was born as Josephine Occhiuto on 7 October 1942, in Williamsburg, Brooklyn, New York into a family of Italian-American descent.
She was a high school English educator prior to joining the showbiz. After a close to lethal ectopic pregnancy at 37 years old, she turned into a secretary at ‘Great Morning America’ in order to get a greater job.
Simultaneously, she began introducing satire schedules in little clubs in New York, prior to getting traction in more notable clubs.
She was making all in all a buzz on the parody scene in New York and by the age of 44, she began showing up on TV.
After a year, she got her own show called, ‘Way Off-Broadway. Before long, she was showing up in little jobs in TV series, movies, and Broadway shows.
Behar turned into an easily recognized name in 1997 when she began co-facilitating ‘The View’, a job she keeps on playing even today. All the while, she has her own shows and has distributed five books.

Steve started his relationship with Joy Behar in 1982, at around the time that Joy was simply starting out in the entertainment biz.
