Kid Rock’s musical journey is one that has encompassed underground Detroit rap, heavy metal, and country-rock, and by finding the perfect blend of all three.
Kid Rock was born Robert James Ritchie on January 17, 1971, in Romeo, Michigan, a little rustic town north of the Detroit metro region.
His dad was a vehicle seller who claimed a six-section of the land plantation where the childhood Ritchie would work alongside his three siblings.
He became intrigued by hip jump during the 1980s, joining a breakdance group and helping himself to rap and DJ.
From that point, he started performing at neighborhood parties as a component of a rap bunch called The Beast Crew and met D-Nice, an individual from KRS-One’s Boogie Down Productions.
This prompted an initial opening at a BDP show, and D-Nice, who was endorsed to Jive Records, assisted Kid Rock with handling an arrangement with a similar mark.
