Yankee Stadium is a baseball stadium in the Bronx’s Concourse neighborhood. It is the home stadium for the Major League Baseball (MLB) New York Yankees and Major League Soccer (MLS) New York City FC, as well as the annual Pinstripe Bowl event.
The $2.3 billion stadium, which included $1.2 billion in public funds, was built to replace the original Yankee Stadium in 2009 and is MLB’s sixth-largest stadium by seating capacity. It’s one block north of the old, on the 24-acre (9.7 hectares) former site of Macombs Dam Park; the original stadium’s 8-acre (3.2 ha) location is now Heritage Field, a public park.
