Originally from St. Louis, Missouri, in the United States, Peter Anderson Fairbanks is a professional baseball pitcher for the Tampa Bay Rays of Major League Baseball. He was born on December 16, 1993, and is now a member of the Rays organization (MLB).
On June 9, 2015, the Texas Rangers selected Fairbanks in the ninth round of the Major League Baseball draft. In 2019, he made his Major League Baseball debut with the Texas Rangers.
Fairbanks attended Webster Groves High School in Webster Groves, Missouri, where he graduated with honors. During his junior year of high school, he had Tommy John surgery, which was a success.
While attending the University of Missouri, Fairbanks competed as a member of the Tigers’ college baseball team from 2013 to 2015.
During the summers of 2013 and 2014, while attending Missouri, he threw for the Hyannis Harbor Hawks of the Cape Cod Baseball League.
When Fairbanks faced the Rays at Tropicana Field on June 29, 2019, he drew the eye of the Rays’ executive team. he was traded to the Rays in exchange for Nick Solak on July 13, 2019.
He was allocated to the Durham Bulls following the trade. With a 6.86 earned run average in 21 MLB innings, Fairbanks finished the season 2–3.
