Roman Kutuzov was a Russian Major General, killed in the Russo-Ukrainian War. Kutuzov commanded the 38th Separate Communications Regiment of the Russian Airborne Forces when he was a colonel in the Russian Armed Forces (military unit 54164).
2017 saw Kutuzov serve in an acting capacity as the commander of the 5th Combined Arms Army. During the year 2019, he held the position of interim commander of the 29th Combined Arms Army. By the year 2020, Kutuzov had risen through the ranks to become the chief of staff of the 29th Combined Arms Army.
At the time of his death on June 5, 2022, Kutuzov was serving as the commander of the 1st Army Corps of the Donetsk People’s Republic. He was killed during the struggle for Severdonetsk-Lysychansk, which took place near Lysychansk, Ukraine.
