Ryan Christian Yarbrough, a pitcher for the Tampa Bay Rays of Major League Baseball, was born on December 31, 1991. (MLB). Yarbrough was drafted fourth overall in the 2014 Major League Baseball draft by the Seattle Mariners. In 2018, he debuted in the major leagues.
Yarbrough attended Santa Fe College before transferring to Old Dominion University after graduating from All Saints’ Academy in Winter Haven, Florida. In 2013 and 2014, he was a pitcher for the Old Dominion Monarchs. He was selected in the 20th round of the 2013 Major League Baseball Draft by the Milwaukee Brewers, but he did not sign.
In 18 games as a senior, he finished 6–7 with a 4.50 ERA (14 starts). With the Seattle Mariners, he began his professional career. Yarbrough was drafted fourth overall in the 2014 Major League Baseball draft by the Seattle Mariners. The Pulaski Mariners were Yarbrough’s first professional team.
He was called up to the Everett AquaSox after just two games. He pitched in 14 games (10 starts) in 2014, with a 1.27 ERA and 58 strikeouts in 42+23 innings.
