On Wednesday, May 4, just before the show aired, it was reported that one of the participants, Cath, had passed away. The Bolton lady competed against Afqad and Mark for a chance to win a £10,000 prize. According to Wales Online, Cath was the first to be knocked out, leaving Afqad and Mark to fight for the reward.
As of current, her actual cause of death is not yet known. We are yet to confirm what actually led to the death of the retired bus driver from Bolton who also happens to be a Tipping Point Contestant.
Tipping Point Contestant Cath Tribute
Ben Shephard, the host of Tipping Point, has paid homage to one of the show’s contestants, who died before her segment aired. Ben announced the sad news on social media ahead of the game show’s upcoming episode on Wednesday, May 4.
He tweeted;
“Today’s Tipping Point is a poignant one… since recording the show, lovely contestant Cath, pictured backstage here, has passed away. Our thoughts and love are with her family and friends x“
Another tweet on Tipping Point Tweeter accounts reads;
“After the recording of today’s programme, we spoke with Cath’s family who shared the sad news of Cath’s passing. Everyone at Tipping Point would like to extend their sincerest sympathies“.
