Albert J. Pirro Jr., a former business associate of Donald Trump and a Lawyer.
He was pardoned by the outgoing president on his final day in office. Pirro, 73, was convicted of tax fraud after working on real estate dealings with Trump.
From 1975 through 2013, he was married to Fox News presenter Jeanine Pirro. Christi Pirro, the couple’s daughter, is their only child.
Albert Pirro was indicted on one count of conspiracy, four counts of tax evasion, and 28 counts of filing a false tax return by the United States Attorney’s Office for the Southern District of New York on February 23, 1999, for concealing over $1 million in personal income as business expenses between 1988 and 1997.
Pirro was found guilty on 23 of the charges presented against him by the jury on June 23, 2000, after the trial began on May 15, 2000, and closing arguments were given on June 19, 2000.
He was sentenced to 29 months in federal prison in November 2000 but was given some mercy in exchange for relinquishing his right to appeal.
He was released early due to his behavior and participation in an alcoholic treatment program after serving 17 months in prison.
