The Sanderson Sisters were first introduced to the world in “Hocus Pocus,” which was released in 1989; the sequel now returns the witches to contemporary society, although this time they use Roombas instead of brooms.
But “Hocus Pocus 2” also travels through time, giving viewers something of a Sanderson Sisters origin tale.
We learn how the Sanderson Sisters discovered magic and got into the possession of the book of spells in the opening sequence, which features up-and-coming actresses playing younger versions of the sisters.
Even though they don’t receive much screen time, the actresses who portray the younger Sanderson Sisters are exceptional at bringing their characters’ eccentricities to life, particularly Taylor Paige Henderson, who pulls off an incredible impersonation of Bette Midler’s Winifred Sanderson.
Taylor Paige Henderson’s biggest endeavor to date is “Hocus Pocus 2,” but the 15-year-old from Amarillo, Texas, is accustomed to performing on stage.
According to West Texas A&M University, where Henderson’s mother is a political science/public administration instructor, Henderson’s acting career began at the age of 5 when she played an oyster in the Amarillo Little Theatre’s performance of “Alice in Wonderland.”
She appeared in “Alice in Wonderland” for roughly 45 seconds, according to her mother Melissa Henderson. And she was eager to repeat the action.
Henderson afterwards appeared in almost 20 theater performances. According to West Texas A&M University, she found an acting coach in New York City when she was 11 years old with assistance from her parents.
