Hocus Pocus 2 is a 2022 American supernatural comedy film directed by Anne Fletcher, written by Jen D’Angelo, and produced by Walt Disney Pictures.
The film begins in 1630s Salem, Massachusetts with a group of wicked witches (Bette Midler, Sarah Jessica Parker, and Kathy Najimy) singing to children and then eating their souls.

The Sanderson Sisters are apprehended by the locals and executed for the murder of Emily Binx and the disappearance of Emily’s brother, Thackery.
The action of Hocus Pocus then fast-forwards to the 1990s, where we meet Max Dennison (Omri Katz), a local youngster who has just arrived there.
He and his sister Dani (Thora Birch) and their new acquaintance Allison investigate a mysterious mansion (Vinessa Shaw).
Allison, the superstitious one, reveals that witches from years before formerly inhabited the home.
The Dennisons don’t believe her story at first, but as Max burns a candle with a dark flame, the Sanderson Sisters come back to life.
Fortunately, the youngsters have a magical cat Thackery at their disposal, and they must now take the witches’ book of spells to prevent them from achieving immortality.

On Friday, September 30, 2022, at twelve o’clock in the morning Pacific Time in the United States, the second installment of Hocus Pocus will be made available for streaming on Disney+.
