The first half of the 2022 Pepsi Super Bowl Halftime Show had a special guest: Even though it was a surprise, 50 Cent made an appearance at the Super Bowl LVI Halftime Show, which was a little out of the norm.
Dr. Dre and Snoop Dogg’s “The Next Episode” and “California Love” performances were followed by a surprise appearance by 50 Cent, who was upside down and flexing.
When “The Next Episode” and “California Love” were performed by Snoop and Dre to open the halftime show, the camera zoomed down to 50, who was flexing just like he did in the video for “In Da Club” 19 years earlier.

At one point, Mary J. Blige took over the stage, and 50 Cent was soon joined by several dancers to perform “Family Affair” to the famous rap song.
For the most part, 50 Cent’s early career was shaped by his collaborations with halftime performers Dr. Dre and Eminem, as his 2003 debut album Get Rich or Die Trying contained production from both of these artists. The song “In Da Club” peaked at No. 1 on the Billboard Hot 100 in 2003, solidifying 50 Cent’s status as a major celebrity.
The 2022 Pepsi Super Bowl Halftime Show was held at SoFi Stadium in Los Angeles, and it featured performances by Dre, Snoop Dogg, Eminem, Mary J. Blige, and Kendrick Lamar.
